Sound familiar?

Clients who pay in different ways

Some pay up front, some pay monthly and some pay late.

Software and kit

Design apps, fonts, a good screen and a fast computer. What can you claim?

Tax time sneaks up

You're deep in a project, and then the deadline is close.

No two studios run the same way.

Some designers work alone from a spare room. Others share a studio, bring in other freelancers for bigger projects, or keep a few long-term clients on retainer. Each set-up brings its own mix of costs, invoices and quieter spells.

Tell us how your work comes in and how you'd like it to grow. It might be more of the same, or something new. With that picture, our advice fits your business as it really runs.

What we do for you

We take care of it all.

  • Your tax return, done and filed

Every project and retainer added up, so you know what you owe well before the deadline.

  • Your expenses, sorted

Your design apps, fonts, stock images, computer and a share of home costs if you work from home.

  • Your books on Xero

Invoices sent and payments matched, so you can see who still owes you.

One useful answer

Can I claim my design software?

Yes, if you use it for your work. Design apps, fonts and stock images are usually business costs. We'll add them up and keep a record, so you're covered if HMRC ever asks.
