For photographers

Tax help for photographers.

You spend your days behind the camera. We'll take care of your tax return, your expenses and your deadlines.

Sound familiar?

Booked months ahead

A deposit first, the rest after the shoot, and busy weeks followed by quiet ones.

Expensive kit

Cameras, lenses, lights and editing apps. How do you claim them?

January sneaks up

Then it's a rush to find receipts from the whole year.

Every photography business has its own shape.

One photographer fills the summer with weddings. Another spends the week on product shots and runs workshops at the weekend. Some sell prints or license their images, and plenty do a little of everything.

Getting to know which parts of your work matter most to you is where we start. Knowing that, and where you'd like to take it, helps us give advice that fits the business you've actually built.

What we do for you

We take care of it all.

  • Your tax return, done and filed

Every shoot and deposit added up, so you know what you owe and when.

  • Your expenses, sorted

Cameras, lenses, editing apps, travel to shoots and a share of home costs if you edit at home.

  • Your books on Xero

Deposits, final payments and invoices in one place, set up and kept tidy.

One useful answer

Can I claim my camera and lenses?

If you use them for your work, you can usually claim them. If you also use them for personal photos, you claim the work part. We'll work out what's fair and keep a record.
